A house in Bridgeport for many years would host street fireworks for the 4th of July. It was a big part of city culture to keep this tradition alive. Lots of people in the neighborhood would gather and celebrate together. The festive joy was contagious and the gentleman in the picture is just a stranger. The year I took this picture was the last time the fireworks would be purchased and presented on this street.
