Photograph DescriptionInternational renowned glass artist and Tacoma native Dale Chihuly has influences glass art education in the Pacific Northwest. He has a glass musuem at the base of the Seattle Space Needle, as well as installations in many places. Here we see the 20 foot high Crystal Towers, which light up at night on the Bridge of the Glass Museum of Tacoma. Inside the museum is a learning Hot Lab, with multiple furnaces and live glass blowing demonstarations for the public.
This modern work of art is juxtaposed against the Alders Brothers Historic Mill Building. Tacoma, WA has many instances of "old and new" buildings, bridges and art.
