We met Maggie outside of Petsmart when we were going in to volunteer for a foster a dog. Maggie had been dropped at a shelter in West Virginia in a box with other puppies. She was the only female in the group, and was definitely the runt. All the boys were stepping on top of her, pushing her down in the box. We were going to foster her for several weeks but after a period longer than that, we decided we couldn’t let her go. We were looking for an older dog, but the puppies needed a place to go. She’s a real sweetheart and has been a perfect addition to our older lab, Stella.
