Miss Mellie came from Pet Partners in Grove City, Ohio when we rescued her about 4 years ago as a kitten. She "mothers" our other rescue cat, Chewbacca ("Chewie"), and loves to talk. Say her name, one time or 100 TIMES, and she will affectionately answer you with a lovely 'meow.' She loves her fluffy tail stroked and likes to have her back pet over and over. If you engage her in conversation, she will follow you around the house and eventually, make her way outside with you where she cautiously checks the area for potential kitty threats, then PLOPS herself down on the patio. She LOVES to sun herself outside and likes to nibble on grass. She is the quintessential "cat" who wants attention on her whim, sometimes letting you only 'have one pet, and that's enough' before she moves on. Miss Mellie would be a wonderful May 2018!
