In February, I was admitted to an inpatient facility. Upon release, I needed a friend to heal and readjust with. I applied for cats at a cafe an hour away, but ended up browsing my local shelter. Enter Morris! Previously Mark Anthony, Morris seemed to be a fat, lazy, old cat with tales to tell, but too tired to tell them. He simply layed there looking on annoyingly at the cats around him. I was told he used to be a street cat, evident by his half right ear (common in TNR). I took him home to be a "back of the recliner" cat. It turns out, he was simply uncomfortable in the shelter and his true personality began to shine in his new home. He is playful and loving, always rabbit kicking his toys and rolling over for belly rubs! I rescued him and he rescued me!
