I love my rescue pet...
Everyone loves River. About 10 years ago, we found River in a dog house in the middle of winter, very sick and likely dying from a severe upper respiratory infection. He had been living outside as a community cat. After treatment and hospitalization for a few weeks, it was clear he was no feral, but a super social housecat wanna-be. He actually behaves more like a dog than a cat. He runs to greet you and jumps up and on you, just like a dog. You pick him up, and he full-on purrs on you. Just like in a dog pack, River is Head Honcho with all of our other cats. He's large and in charge, and he knows it. Mr. Personality with a lion cut.
