I love my rescue pet...
We took Daisey (that’s the spelling she came with, and we didn’t want to traumatize her further😂) in for a gentleman who was in poor health and ended up in a nursing home. After a while he came to the realization that he wouldn’t be able to leave assisted living, and asked us to keep Daisey for him. We gleefully accepted, and she’s been with us about 6 years now. She’s a diva and only wants to be touched if it’s her idea - she’ll play catch me if you can if she wants attention but doesn’t. She lost her hearing a few years ago and with it lost her self awareness. She now snores loud enough to hear from any room in our house. She has seniority in our house and is the most trouble free, so she gets the most attention and goodies. Her favorite thing is riding in the sidecar to Ruth’s Cafe on Sunday mornings with her bud Oogie.
