Why do you love your rescue pet?
Declan is a pointer/ border collie mix who joined our family from IACS in May of 2020, so is our COVID rescue baby. His best friend is our 8 year old rescued chihuahua named Delilah. His favorite pastime is pretending he is a lap dog and plopping down in our laps on the couch. He tries his best to plop his 80lb self down gently, but rarely succeeds!! 😆 His second favorite pasttime is chasing a ball, with Delilah close at his heels! Though he won't ever let her have the ball, he certainly likes it when she tries to take it from him! Declan is named after a character in one of the BEST love stories, in my opinion. Leap Year! Declan is loyal and loving, but cautious of new people. Any pup we bring in to foster, he is curious and friendly towards, even if he does worry a bit that he is being replaced! Never baby boy, never. Declan brings us joy and laughter with his antics, we always have a story to tell with him around! We love you, Dec!
