Why do you love your rescue pet?
Raisinet was an older puppy living with her mom and brother in a small pen in a backyard. Her family contacted FIDO for help because their landlord would only let the family keep one dog and they chose Raisinet's brother. A rescue took the mom, and Raisie came home with me.

Raisinet had little human interaction as a pup and was very scared of people. She warmed up to the other dogs in my home much more quickly than she did to me. For the first year or so, she avoided being touched. But over the months and years, she has learned to trust me. Despite her fearfulness, she has never shown any aggression to me or anyone else, including the vet. She finally made a breakthrough after the first year or so and now leans into me for attention and affection and even body slams me when she is particularly excited about something.
