A little about me...
Scarlett is a 1 year-and-9 month old Pit Bull Terrier mix I adopted from Alachua Animal Shelter. Her name was inspired by her long scar that starts at her neck all the way to her back. Scarlett's past traumas are unknown but you can tell she's been through a lot.

But, despite everything she’s been through, Scarlett is full of love, gentleness, and resilience. I've had the privilege of watching her heal. Day by day, she's become more playful, more trusting, and more full of life. She's even slowly working her way off her anxiety medication as she continues to gain confidence in her new world.

She represents the strength, beauty and potential of rescue dogs everywhere. While her journey isn't over, Scarlett is proof that with love, patience, and a second chance, even the deepest wounds can begin to heal.
