A little about me...
Fawn's gotcha day was on April 3, 2021. I was a college student at UF who missed my pets back home in Texas and was suffering from the covid blues. I had been contemplating adopting a dog for over a year and thought I had found the one on Alachua County Animal Services Website. However, as fate would have it, when I went to the shelter, they informed me the dog I was initially interested in had been adopted. I chose to walk around the shelter and the first dog I see is Fawn. She stood out amongst all the other dogs due to her calm demeanor and loving affection. I took her home that same day and the rest is more than history. Fawn is my soul dog. She became my emotional support animal through some of my darkest times in college and became a key link to how I met my now Fiancé when our dogs ran into each other while on a walk around my apartment complex. Fawn's previous owners were not kind to her, but I promised her from day one, that she would never know a day without love and she has reciprocated that a million times over. Fawn deserves the world. I'm forever thankful for the work of local animal shelters and rescues that brought me and Fawn together. My life has been changed for the better because of it.
