A little about me...
Winnie is a true Florida dog. Only with her trusty raincoat will she brave the rare light drizzle. Heavy rain is a hard NO regardless of bribery. Speaking of, she will do almost anything for food (or items perceived as food). Which is probably why she weighed in at almost 20 pounds overweight when, in April 2020, in the middle of a pandemic lockdown, I went to the county animal shelter to short-term FOSTER a dog. I literally said, "It doesn't matter what dog you give me because I'm only fostering". After being in the shelter 9 months, adopted and returned twice, its a mystery why no one wanted this secretly chill, snugglebuddy who only barks in her dreams. Well, I took Winnie home, and needless to say... she never went back. She was my best quarantine buddy (along with helping me foster 3 litters of momma cats w/kittens over the next year (19 felines total!)). Now at a healthy 50 pounds, she enjoys her days sleeping, eating, baking in the sun, stealing spots on the couch, going on walks in the woods, and rolling in all the sand at the beach. Winnie the WonderDog, Winnie Poo, Winn-Doggie ...... we've come a long way and you're the best girl!
