A little about me...Adley, beautiful, intelligent, and fearless Red Heeler, came to our home as a Rescue. Adley’s integration into the pack of five dogs was a bit bumpy as our dogs were not interested in being herded around the yard. Adley has now earned acceptance into the Gilbert Pack, with all privileges bestowed to her, including the coveted ride to Starbucks and getting a “Pup Cup”.
Fearless, it is in her DNA!
Adley had made her way into the cattle area and was in an “East Texas Stare Down” with a 2000-pound Black Angus bull. Adley and the bull were both locked and loaded, the bull retreated and gave up his ground. Praise Jesus, because after 42 years of blissful marriage to Sharon, it is a well-established fact, that any incident involving our children or pets was a direct result of my negligence.
Education:
Adley’s trainer, said that a “Heeler” must have a “job”. So, Adley’s job was going to be school/ training. Adley has completed 5 AKC Courses and graduated from K-9 Obedience as a “Service Dog”.
Community outreach:
Adley visited my 96-year-old mother at her nursing home, mom had an instant smile with adrenaline. As we left the hallway was a gauntlet of wheelchairs and walkers. They all wanted to meet Adley. Adley rose to the occasion and added a routine of tricks. Adley has gone back several times to cheer up the residents.
Adley has become a phenomenal dog and is now a pack member at her home forever.
