We rescued Marnie at 6 weeks old after she appeared on our back porch out in the middle of nowhere. She was tiny, covered with fleas, eyes full of gunk, and clearly dropped off by someone. Her first vet visit consisted of finding out she was indeed a girl, how old she was, that she wasn’t even 2lbs yet, and getting a bunch of meds. She had been off and on sick for the first year of her life when we finally found out she had Chlamydia Felis and were able to accurately treat her. Through it all, she has never stopped being a crazy, trouble-making creature that lives up to the “black cat” stereotypes. She has come a long way since that late night when we heard her cries for help, and we couldn’t have asked for a better first baby❤️
