gary was a throw away. he arrived on my back deck one night deaf, malnourished, and hungry; but so so lovable. after giving him food and water, i made him a bed to sleep in outside for the night since i had pets and couldn’t bring him in without getting him checked first. i figured he’d be gone by morning but when i looked out, he was sound asleep in the bed i’d made him and delighted to see me when i went out to give him pets. after exhausting all efforts to find out if he had previous owners, i was so happy to welcome him into my home. he’s grown up with two older dog sisters, and truly acts more like a dog than a cat. he’s set the bar high for all other cats. gary is a wonderful boy, who loves to be around me and his sisters. he’s a social little man - enjoys naps and snacks - and never fails to let me know if i’m running late on a meal time. as i type this, he’s sleeping upside down on the back of the couch, his sisters curled up below him - also having an afternoon snooze.
