Rules

Photos must be print quality (resolution of at least jpeg files of 300 dpi or higher; some photos taken on smartphones are acceptable if they’re sent as original files/size is not reduced; photos downloaded from Facebook, Instagram, etc. typically are not high enough quality).
Only Lucas County Canine Care and Control (LC4) alum are eligible for this contest.
Photo entry and voting both begin at 12:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 and both end at 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Saturday, August 31, 2024.
All entrants must pay a $10 entry donation.
The top three (3) dogs will receive a spot in the FoLCD 2025 calendar. Depending on the orientation, theme, quality, and other factors of the photo, the spot within the calendar chosen may vary for each photo. For example, they may be featured as a lone photo for an individual month, in a collage, or in a corner photo at the beginning or end of the date page of an individual month.
The guardians of the top three (3) dogs will each receive a free calendar. Limit of one (1) per household.
All entrants will be given the opportunity to purchase calendars at a discounted price.
No entrants are subject to receive any profit from the sale of the calendars, or the votes.
Entrants give FoLCD the right to use the top three (3) voted photos in the FoLCD 2025 calendar.
The guardians of the top three (3) dogs will each have five (5) business days to digitally send FoLCD their photo to friendsoflucascountydogs@gmail.com. If any guardians fail to do so, we will open the opportunity for the next highest rated dog’s photo to be chosen.
