I adopted Blu from PACC a little more than 4 years ago after I lost 2 lab brothers within 2 weeks of one another to a rare blood disease. I still had Sophie, a beautiful 8 year old female hound. She desperately needed a companion. Blu was 9 weeks at adoption, and in many respects was your typical puppy. Although you never know how well 2 dogs will respond to one another upon first meeting,my gut said it was going to work out. And it did. The moment I brought him home there was an instant bond between these special souls which continued to grow. Blu has turned out be a very loving companion, and really thrives emotionally when he is active. I never thought my best hiking partner would have 4 legs and weigh 65 pounds. This guy is amazing.
