Your Pet's Story or Bio
Mishu is our special, most loving and perfect boy. He initially came to us as a foster but we could not bear the thought of him leaving us, so we adopted him from PACC a year and a half ago. Mishu was under-socialized and terrified of humans initially. He did not like being touched and hid in his kennel for quite a while. It became clear to us that he had never seen the inside of a home.
Luckily, Mishu has made tremendous progress with the help of our two resident canine girls, Sophia and Louisey. He enjoys pets, belly rubs, going out for brunch, giving kisses, and sleeping in his parents' bed. Going for walks with his sisters is his absolute favorite activity. He prances and zooms when the leashes come out. His joy is pure and earnest.
Even as a more confident dog, Mishu remains the most unassuming, grateful, and calm canine child we have ever had. Now that his healing is almost complete, he does the healing for all of us. Mishu has helped us through some difficult health-related moments. His adoring eyes, soft fur, and comforting presence are an important part of our family support system. We could not imagine life without him.
Mishu is a graduate of the Decompression Program for Shy and Fearful dogs. This is a volunteer-led program at PACC that focuses on helping dogs overcome their fear.
