Sawyer is a rescue dog who has spent his life rescuing. Sawyer started his life with his forever mama as a medical alert dog after she received a major medical diagnosis followed by a successful brain tumor removal. In his “medical dog retirement” he and his owner met Bella and her owner where they became a family and Sawyer learned how to be “a real dog.” Soon after becoming a family of four Bella was diagnosed with canine diabetes. Sawyer - always the hero -now spends his day keeping tabs on his best friend Bella and helping her adjust to her increasing blindness and medical challenges. Sawyer and Bella may have been rescued but they have done all the rescuing.
