The story behind the photo
On May 24 I went to the Arboretum with my son and his family. Since his children are young, we always need to select reasonable hikes for length and elevation gain, and something unique to grab their attention. It was a beautiful day to see the redwoods, which impressed my grandchildren! This was hike #28 of my 52 Hike Challenge for 2020. Given the COVID limitations on hiking for the first half of this year, I grew to really appreciate local trails, wetlands, and nature parks that remained open.
