Pet's Story
Lily was found on the side of the road in the middle of no where Wyoming. We found pictures of her on a rescue website. Our original great dane rescue, Duke, was getting older and we wanted a friend who might give him some extra energy and time. We drove through a snowstorm 11 hours in a car to meet her and she jumped right in the car with Duke and never looked back. We know nothing about her except that she might have been on a ranch, as she used to try to herd, horses. She liked to open every drawer in the kitchen and look for scraps on top of the dining room table when we first got her. Over time, she realized that she would be treated to daily hikes, lots of toys and treats, and as much food as she needed and she would never have to want for anything else. Thankfully, she has settled into life in Jackson Hole living as a princess, rather than a working dog. We call the beds and sofas in our home her thrones and she reigns over the house as an only dog these days until we find our next rescue as she gets older. She loves to go fishing on our drift boat in the summer, lounge outdoors in the sun, snuggle under the covers in bed and dress up in sweaters when its cold.
