We rescued McKinley about a year ago, she was staggering down an alley way, starving and emaciated. She had just recently been nursing a litter. The local vet had indicated they have seen a pattern of young mothers who appeared to have been bred and abandoned, seemingly to make money off the litter without spending any effort to take care of the mother. She was nursed back to health and developed a sweet personality and a gorgeous coat. McKinley has found her place in our home with our other dog, Juneau, a husky mix, and couldn't be happier. McKinley's color/pattern would be classified as a Grey Saddleback, a very rare variety.
