Comments/Description/Why Your Husky or Husky Mix Photo Should Win
Kenai is a Southern California Red/white Husky who loves his pack (family, including his little Yorkie sister Sparkles). He gets daily walks and loves going up to our cabin in Big Bear, especially when there is snow. He even has pulled a single kick sled with our two kids and has allowed them to bury him in the snow! He’s such a good sport! When my son was younger, he’d like to take naps and lay his head on Kenai’s tummy. He talks (howls) ALL THE TIME, especially when he doesn’t want to come inside and he will howl a special sound that sounds like “Nnoooooo!!! His nick-name is Aroo...because of his “roos.” He’s such a fun-loving dog and even knows how to play gently with Sparkles (despite husky’s huge predator instincts). Believe me, we’ve had our share of that...unfortunately especially with skunks!! One time he even left us a skunk “present”on our back porch that came into our backyard (we live across the street from the San Bernardino national forest). But for some reason, he’s made “friends” with the bunnies that come in our backyard and he doesn’t chase them! He does chase lizards though! Go figure. Kenai was named after Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska. We got Kenai shortly after we did an Alaskan Glacier Bay cruise and Land tour.
