Comments/Description/Why Your Husky or Husky Mix Photo Should WinFrom the moment I first saw Onyx I knew he had to be a part of my family. A post came up in my FB feed saying Urgent Rescue/Siberian Husky on PTS list for friday, I read this Thursday night! I jumped in and said I will rescue him whatever it takes!! People started helping left & right, getting in touch with someone who could pull him from the shelter & a runner to bring him to me. Friday morning they all got on the phone trying to stop the PTS order but nobody was answering! I tried, they tried and finally a couple hours later, someone got through. He was still alive & was told someone wanted to rescue him. The runner was 45 mins away and by now they closed in 30 mins. They said they would put him on hold but couldn't promise anything for sure. They said call back Tuesday since Monday was a holiday. I was heartbroken & felt that I had failed him, I already loved this dog. After a long weekend and my nerves shot, Tuesday was here and the calls began. I got the call he was alive and put on hold, tears streamed down my face & I knew he was coming home. That was 8yrs ago and I can't thank the people that rescued him enough. Onyx was dumped at a shelter because someone didn't want him anymore, he almost didn't make it out of there and he has changed my life in ways I can't explain... This photo shows a completely different side of what he went through to get to me. He's at peace, in a calm, warm & loving home, he can relax and live the good life now in his furever home.
