Comments/Description/Why Your Husky or Husky Mix Photo Should Win
Kino was used as a breeder dog and had a very rough life. She came to us a very scared, frail, timid, and broken 5-year-old. She did not know how to play, didn't know what a toy even was, or what to do with it. She was terrified of everything: loud noises, beeping sounds, storms, telephones, and especially men. Yet, she had an enormous heart that wanted to trust and was as sweet as could be. She accepted all our love and pampering with nose nuzzles and wet kisses. She learned from her dog brother how to "dog": romping in the yard unfettered and free, the joys of delicious bully sticks, and lazing in the sun belly-up. She overcame her fear of men and became my husband's best friend. It was amazing to watch her trust grow with each new experience and for her to realize that no one would ever hurt her again.
