Forever Love Rescue is a completely volunteer, non-profit (registered 501(c)3) organization dedicated to saving unwanted, abandoned, neglected and/or abused cats in the counties around historic Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
Our shelter provides a safe, nurturing environment where the cats are cared for in a community setting by a small army of dedicated volunteers. Those not yet adapted or able to live in the shelter are provided foster homes, where their individual needs can be met in a home setting. The goal is to find a Forever home for every cat.
All our adoptable cats and kittens have already undergone spay/neuter surgery, have age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention and are microchipped.
FLR’s affordable adoption fees cover a percentage but not the entire cost of making our cats adoptable. We rely on support from a generous following that keeps the shelter running with food, litter, supplies and contributes to our veterinary costs. This contest, our upcoming calendar and other fundraisers allow us to reach as many cats as possible.
So far in 2020, we have sheltered more than 450 cats, many of them a direct result of COVID-19 and restrictions that shut down spay/neuter programs for months. We have challenged our tireless volunteers and foster families, while running an expanded rescue effort without our usual in-person fundraisers.
So find your favorite cat, take a fantastic picture and enter! If not entering for your favorite feline, take a look at our contest cats — Be sure to vote early and often!
