William is a FMN rescue from Manatee County's Death Row. He had six hours until he was to be destroyed via heart stick. My Dad was terminally ill when we met William. They were kindred spirits as you can see from the photo. William seemed to know how ill my Dad was and was so gentle and loving . William had his own life threatening illness's , but he provided my family with so much comfort and love during that trying time. My Dad loved him so much, he renamed William after himself. Of course the name has stuck. He is a lovely creature and we love him so much.
