The Real House Pets of Florida Photo Calendar Contest will begin July 15, 2015 at 12:00 AM Eastern Standard Time. Photos and votes can be submitted throughout the entire contest period. Contest submission and voting ends promptly at 10:00 PM Eastern Standard Time on September 30, 2015. Our clocks may vary from yours. Don't miss the deadline to give your pet his/her final vote boost!

How to Enter & Submit the Photo of Your Pet(s):
Click on Participate and then Enter Contest. Follow the directions to upload a photo of your pet. You may choose to submit one or all of your pets, but each pet must be submitted individually. All pets are welcome. Pets are not required to live in Florida or be rescues from FMN. Beloved fur family members who now are on Rainbow Bridge are also welcome. A special designation of Rainbow Bridge can be applied to winning photos, if desired.
When sending your pet’s picture, please include:
- Name of your pet
- Age of your pet
- Your city and state
- Voters will be casting ballots for not only the pet's photo but also for their story, so tell us what makes your pet special or why you adopted them.
- Your name, phone number, & email address (NOT published).
Submission requirements:
- Acceptable photo formats are .jpg, .png, and .gif
- Photographs must be in color and contain only the pet (no people).
- If you are using a camera phone, make sure the HDR mode is set to on for taking high resolution photos. If using digital camera, make resolution setting to "fine".
- Any image that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by FMN, or otherwise does not adhere to the rules will be removed from the Calendar Contest.
- Photographs may not be edited or altered (other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments)
- Photographs must not be from a professional studio or copyrighted, unless you own the copyright. All entries must be the original work of the entrant.
- All submitted photos and information become the property of FMN to be used at their discretion without any compensation.
Public Voting For Pets
Once a pet photo is submitted, on or after July 15 at 12:00 AM, it will appear in the online gallery, and be open to voting by the general public. Each vote after the entry fee requires a minimum donation of $1 per vote. Each $1 donation counts as a vote for that photo. All donations for votes are non-refundable. Winners will be determined by the number of votes received per pet photo. The voting period will end at 10:00 PM (EDT) September 6, 2015. There’s no limit on how many times people can vote.
All votes must be paid for online via the contest’s secure checkout system. You will receive a tax receipt by email when your transaction is complete. The email acknowledgment reply to your online donation serves completely as your tax receipt. All votes are donations to the Forget-Me-Not Animal Rescue and are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law.
Voters/donors must be legal residents of the US. Voters under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
It’s up to you to spread the word, encourage people to vote by donation, and make sure your photo wins - all while supporting Forget-Me-Not Animal Rescue.
Voting Tip: Vote—and vote often! Share with friends and families to get their support and of course, keep an eye on the competition! You don't want to lose your top spot at the last minute! We will make it easy for you to get the word out, so when the contest begins you will able to link your entry in the voting gallery directly to your Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, email accounts and more. On your pet's public page, there is a "share" button that allows you to share your entry through Facebook and other social networking sites.
