Wally was rescued by Forte from the pound in South Central LA. At the time, he was emaciated and sick with kennel cough. When I attended the Forte adoption event where we met. Wally climbed into my lap and fell asleep for 45 minutes. He woke up for a bully stick, which he promptly brought back to my lap and stayed until he finished eating it. Two days later, we met again for a walk in Palisades Park. Wally ran right up to me, wagging his tail. That was Valentine’s Day 2011. He moved in the next night, immediately transforming my house into a home. To this day, I’m not sure who rescued who? We now live in NYC where Wally has made friends in the park and enjoys playing in the snow.
