Pet's Story or Bio
I'm Rhea, and many people admire me for my proud looks. But let me tell you that I have come a long way. Just over two years ago, I only knew life as being tethered to a chain in a filthy backyard, eating scraps. I didn't know what a dog bed felt like or when I would get my next meal. Luck was on my side, though. A good Samaritan got me out just before I was due to be sold as a bait dog. She fed me, cleaned me up, started working with me and then looked for help and a family - and found the crazy peeps I'm living with now. I have a human mom (she's nice!) , a human dad (I LOVE HIM!), a human brother (he's adorable and a great playmate) and I've made lots of human and canine friends in my neighborhood even though I still take my time to warm up to anyone. I guess with my early life experience, you can't blame me. My family loves me unconditionally, though, and I now know where my home is. I have - wait for it - three (!!!) dog beds and lots of toys and I get yummy meals and treats! Life is good for me now but I wish that all the other dogs my mom talks about will also find their forever loving homes.
