Hi! My name is Lucy. I’m originally from Ensenada, Mexico and now live in Marina Del Rey with my pawrents! I’m a 2-year-old miniature pinscher, cattle dog, dachshund mix.

The first 6 months of my life were tough as I didn’t have a home and lived on the streets. I thought my life would always be like this, but then I got rescued! I lived in Ensenada for a few months with my foster mom, and she nursed me back to health. I am furever grateful!

My pawrents then adopted me from Miracle Dog Rescue, and it’s been happily ever after since then! I get to snuggle in the big bed, hang out with furiends at the dog park, play with my squeaky balls, and go on hikes! I love laying out in the sun every day and love my pawrents more than anything. My pawrents even get me my own veggies at the farmers market every week! I’m so appreciative that I can now live my best life.

I know that my pawrents say that they rescued me, but I also rescued them. I have such a special place in my pawrents’ hearts that my mommy went vegan as a way to show her love for animals. My daddy says that by being my daddy and showering me with love every day, he’s become more aware of all of the love he can give to the world.

We are so happy that Forte Animal Rescue is doing such great work and am glad we can take part in this contest!
