Tell Us About Your Pet
Brie was rescued from a high kill shelter in Georgia after she was abused with a 2x4 while pregnant with 10 puppies. The scars she bears show the abuse she endured, but it has never broken her spirit. She suffered a broken jaw and traumatic brain injury which resulted in her losing an eye and she continues to experience ongoing seizures to this day. However, none of this has made her aggressive or fearful, but rather she's the most loving, loyal, grateful and silly dog we've ever had. She is silly and funny, and reminds us every day that dogs are better than people.

What makes your pet unique or special?
She only has one crossed-eye and a crooked smile but she's incredibly beautiful. She helps put the babies in her home to bed every night. She's nurturing, patient, and affectionate to children and foster puppies in her home. She loves to snuggle and make everyone laugh with her banter and talks. She has zero concept of personal space and insists on making room for herself in the smallest of places as long as it's touching one of her humans or fur siblings.

What is your pet’s favorite hobby?
Digging in the dirt and getting her beautiful, creamy coat completely filthy. She loves to play with toys and try to fetch, even with limited eye sight, and gets so proud of herself when she finds the toy she's looking for.

Why did you enter this contest?
To show the world that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and there are no perfect breeds. And to help raise funds for other pets in need of lifesaving emergency and specialty veterinary care.

Why did you choose to support Frankie's Friends?
Because we believe pets like Brie deserve the opportunity to have a second chance with loving families and we can't imagine having to put her down or give her up because we couldn't afford to provide for her ongoing medical needs. Pets are part of the family and we love Brie for reminding us how forgiving and pure animals' sweet souls are. Her story is an inspiration, and Frankie's Friends is an organization that we embrace for helping to be a resource for pet loving families when they need it most.

Why should people vote for your pet?
Brie is unbreakable and deserves to be appreciated for her outer beauty as much as her inner. She is the face of perseverance, strength, and unconditional love. Who wouldn't want to vote for that?!
