Tell Us About Your Pet
Bentley was only 2 years old when he was scheduled for euthanasia at the hospital I worked for. He had a very naughty streak. The owners were afraid he would bite their small children. I asked the previous owners if I could take him; if it didn't work out, I would euthanize. He's 11 years old now, and my best bud.

What makes your pet unique or special?
Bentley came to me with some behavioral problems. He doesn't bite anymore, but initially I was very cautious to keep him leashed when neighborhood children were playing near my house. Now the kids love to play with him, and even at 11 years old, he gets "the zoomies" regularly.

What is your pet’s favorite hobby?
He loves to put his head to the ground and push himself along with his hind legs. In the winter, he gets a snootful of snow.

Why did you enter this contest?
Bentley is a "rescue" dog (though not through a shelter). I like the idea that his adorable image could help other animals in need.

Why did you choose to support Frankie's Friends?
I have attended a meeting for veterinary professionals that was very informative. I feel that adoption of shelter pets is ideal. In my profession, I know that there are a lot of unethical breeders that continue to breed animals with health issues, then charge exorbitant fees for the offspring. Supporting shelters just makes sense. There's no underlying greed, just the desire to help animals in need.

Why should people vote for your pet?
Bentley is a dog that I would never have chosen under normal circumstances. I usually like a big ol' dog. But he needed me, and turns out, I needed him. We're a good fit. Vote for the little guy that made it!
