Tell Us About Your Pet
Lenny was the most perfect imperfect dog. His love was immeasurable and the bond that we had with him will always remain. As much love as we gave him, he gave it right back. Lenny loved his walks. He would give you "that look" and the walk would need to continue. He loved playing hide and go seek with Macey being his prime playmate. I don't think he ever lost a game! Len was also so beautiful. Many people who would stop us to tell us so. Regaring food, there wasn't much he didn't like including salmon, chicken parm, shrimp , pizza and of course the occasional squirrel.

What makes your pet unique or special?
Lenny battled cancer for two year and a half years. He was a warrior. He battled and certainly had some difficult times, but he had total quality of life. On May 20, 2021, five days after his 10th birthday, we lost him from a tumor we didn't know about. He truly is in our thoughts every day. We wanted to do something in his name to honor him. The expense to care for him was very high and not all people are able to make that sacrifice. Last May we raised over $6000 from Team Len at The Broad Street Run on behalf of Frankie’s Friends. We want to continue to raise money to help families deal with the expense of caring for their dogs battling cancer. Help us reach our goal of $10,000.

What is your pet’s favorite hobby?
Lenny loved playing with his soccer ball. He would chase it down or perhaps catch it or trap it. We have that ball in a case in our family room. He loved that ball.

He also loved playing hide and seek. You would hold him still and Macey would hide. He would then go look. Checking the usually places. Behind the door, in the closet....it was a special thing.

Why did you enter this contest?
Frankie's Friends is a wonderful organization and we had a goal of $10,000 and we are not stopping until we hit it! Several dogs have benefited from our efforts and we want to keep going. Team Len was not a one time effort. We will continue to help with care for those dogs and the families that need the financial support!

Why did you choose to support Frankie's Friends?
It was the perfect way for us to pay homage to Lenny and keep his memory going. We are so fortunate to have the Frankie's Friends time by our side and helping navigate the path.

Why should people vote for your pet?
May 20th will be two years without Lenny. He battled like a warrior and we want to help other dogs and families through their battles with cancer. We miss him a great deal and this is our way of telling his story. Help us meet our goal! Help us pay it forward in the honor of our fallen brave friend. A dog named Lenny. We miss you my boy.
