Tell Us About Your Pet
Arwen is a 17 month old Standard Poodle. She came to our family after suffering the loss of our first ever puppy and helped heal our hearts. She is wonderful companion and also loves being a conformation show dog. She lives with her younger standard poodle sister and 4 cat brothers.

What makes your pet unique or special?
Arwen has such an incredible temperament. She's sweet and loves to cuddle and be in your lap. She's very smart and picks up on new commands and tricks instantly. She's been such a comfort for me in times of emotional distress and knows to come and lay on me or nudges her way into my lap. She has earned her Canine Good Citizen and trick dog title with the AKC and we hope to do therapy work. Arwen has never met a stranger and she enjoys making new friends or going to the vet clinic I work for and bringing smiles to my coworkers.

What is your pet’s favorite hobby?
Arwen loves playing frisbee above all things. She also is perfectly content to lounge on the couch like her cat family.

Why did you enter this contest?
To help with fundraising for an amazing charitable fund that is helping family pets across the US on a day to day basis. Rescues and shelters get a lot of support, but there are not many options out there for families who are facing emergencies with their pets and need immediate financial assistance. That's what Frankie's Friends is doing.

Why did you choose to support Frankie's Friends?
I work in the veterinary field and have seen Frankie's Friends in action. Dogs and cats in need of emergency care who otherwise face euthanasia. My heart cat, Ben, was such an inspiration to me to be the best veterinary technician I could for my patients and I was lucky to have friends who helped us when he needed surgery to remove a mass that was blocking his stomach. I would have been devastated to have lost him when a surgery was all that he needed to cure his condition. Not everyone has that sort of support out there, so Frankie's Friends helps to step in when all other financial routes are exhausted. Your donation could be helping a sick cat get a life saving blood transfusion or a dog that was hit by a car get surgery to walk again. Even small amounts help when enough people join in.

Why should people vote for your pet?
I'd love to reach a financial goal of $5000, but whether you vote for Arwen or another pet in this contest.. all of those donations are going towards supporting Frankie's Friends and that's what matters most!
