Tell Us About Your Pet
Tropez is the newest pup to our pack. He’s a bully mix with some strong German Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog genes. We adopted him 2.5 years ago after he got bounced from shelter to shelter and cage to cage, the entire time no one had gotten to know him well enough to realize… he’s deaf! His difference doesn’t hold him back in the slightest. He’s a whole lot of personality (with a wide range of vocals) packed in a little cuddly body. He came to us with a myriad of other health issues, including a heartworm infection. But even a rough beginning of life can’t stop this guy and he has happily been illness free for almost 1.5 years now. His favorite things include playing with his Great Dane sister, going on walks, playing tug, car rides, trancing in the shower curtain, all the snacks, and being anywhere his moms are. We love our little rescue mutt! <3

What makes your pet unique or special?
Tropez is smart as a whip. He can easily pick up new commands (using hand signals or touch) and takes a lot of cues from the other dogs in the house to know what is going on. For example, he reads his older brother’s facial expressions to know when someone has entered the house or gotten out of bed, which then cues the excitement! He’s a strange little guy, he makes “bird noises” when he’s really excited for something like food or a walk and he trances/ghost walks in the closet and shower curtain to self soothe. He keeps our lives interesting, for sure! Tropez has come a long way from a terrified and sickly puppy in the shelter system to a happy, healthy, and more confident little man that will always have a warm bed and fully belly :)

What is your pet’s favorite hobby?
This freckled little man LIVES for walks. He loves anything that allows him to be close to his moms but he vibrates with enthusiasm when he sees us grab his harness and a coat. On our walks his entire demeanor just becomes so peaceful, like he has reached a state of joy that just makes him so calm. When we get home, he gets so sweet and sleepy. You know it’s going to be a good day when it’s nice enough out for a long walk!

Why did you enter this contest?
If Tropez hadn’t landed in our home, who knows what may have happened to him. Four shelters had given up on him before we found him due to his special needs and illnesses. Luckily, we were able to provide the time, money, and energy it took to get him where he is now: happy and healthy. But we know that everyone falls on hard times, and expensive emergencies can happen out of the blue. That’s why we love Frankie’s Friends for being there for animals in need, to help their human family get through a rough patch and continue loving and caring for their special furry friend. We entered this contest because 1) how can you deny that cute little face? And 2) we want to help support animals in need of medical care <3

Why did you choose to support Frankie's Friends?
I’ve seen first hand the lives that Frankie’s Friends has helped save! With pets becoming a more common part of every family, supporting Frankie’s Friends, and similar financial assistance groups, helps so many animals and families in need during a rough patch in their loved one’s life.

Why should people vote for your pet?
I mean… just look at that face 😍 Tropez is here to rep the bullies, deaf dogs, heartworm survivors, and the “unadoptable” underdogs… and look cute doing it!
