Hi everyone! My name is Amun-Ra, but my mom calls me Baby Moon. I was given this awesome name because of my mother's love for classic antiquities. I am a 2.5 yr old Staffie/Bulldog mix and just moved out to the Monterey Bay Area with my mom, grandma and my favorite cousin Canela. I'm very extroverted and love to meet new people, which makes mom a little weary cause she is so introverted. I just received 2 big TPLO surgeries and have been healing nicely thanks to Dr. Dearmin at Blue Pearl! Everyone there has helped me on my journey to being a bright young pup and I am so thankful. Oh! Also, I really really love my iPad and watching my Disney+

What makes your pet unique or special?
Amun had a hard first few weeks of his life, when he was around 8 weeks old he was found tossed on the side of Highway 17 up on a chilly August night. He was brought in as a good samaritan drop off and I knew from that moment that he was meant to be mine. He's basically a total kid at heart, he has a great smile and the most trust in humans I have ever seen, despite how his life started out. We later found that he was from a litter that came from a female dog who was later rescued from a dog fighting ring. He may look like this big meanie but deep down he is the sweetest boy you could ever meet.

What is your pet’s favorite hobby?
Amun has loved this one hobby ferociously and that hobby, is swimming! He is a total shark in the water and he loved to play fetch for his favorite ball in the pool. Since he had been injured at such a young age, swimming was the easiest way to have him exercise and keep him active but still have fun. We recently had to upgrade him to a bright yellow life jacket to help him swim though, he is kind of like a rock when trying to swim. He tends to sink to the bottom. He hates the life jacket but once you toss his favorite toys into the water, he forgets all about his insecurities and just jumps right in!

Why did you enter this contest?
I love this dog. I think he is so misunderstood by so many. He isn't perfect by any means but he's my kid. I think if the world could experience him the way I get to everyday, it might open the minds of those who look at him and immediately think PITBULL, VICIOUS, DANGER. He's a big, happy, chunky goofball who loves tremendously.

Why did you choose to support Frankie's Friends?
The hospital location I work at works hand in hand with Frankie's Friends and they have been a great help to so many in need.
