My Dog's Story
Rex came home from the Mahoning County Dog Pound on June 27, 2008. Most of my family told me not to get another dog (his brother Bullet was king of the house already) but I snuck him home anyways and he has won the hearts of everyone. They said he was found at the bus station downtown. A true rags to riches story. Bullet was not a fan at first, but they have grown to love each other as true brothers (Rex more than Bullet).

Rex has many fewer fears than Bullet. Men, at first, are not his favorite but he quickly warms up to them. (Sadly, I think he was abused) He especially loves his Dad, Papa and his brother Mike D! He's a huge fan of a belly rub and don't dare pet Bullet before him. He's very jealous and wants your undivided attention. Unfortunately, he also loves shoes and has a knack for finding the most expensive pair in the closet.

He prefers to keep cool. He sleeps on the floor by the door to catch the draft and naps on his king sized bed on a hot sunny day (while watching TV, of course). Although an inside boy, his absolute favorite thing is to take a walk! A close second is riding in the car. He's fond of watching golfers in his backyard but don't dare step foot on the course without a cart. He doesn't like people walking by. And he gives a good, stern stare at that big brown truck when driving down the street. He will show him! This is Rex's neighborhood!

He suffers from seizures but has been well controlled since we caught them early on. You will find him under the table at every meal and by your side when you need a friend. He's a warm, fluffy addition to our family and we wouldn't have it any other way.
