My Dog's Story
Maddy originally came to us in May of 2011. She belonged someone who was not properly caring for her so we stepped in and brought her home. Our original intention was to get her out of her current situation but find her a new home. At that time we already had two dogs and thought three would just be too many.

When we first brought her home she was severely underweight, her paws were bright pink, and she was very skittish. After a little bit of time trying to find her a home it quickly became evident that she was here to stay! Maddy started to put on a healthy amount of weight and began to adjust to her new environment.

Maddy quickly became attached to one her fur sisters Roxy. She wanted to be so close to her that she would walk over to the bed Roxy was laying on and just sit right on top of her and Roxy would just let her. She eventually grew out of sitting right on top of her but now she will just walk over to the bed Roxy is in and just stare at her until there is room to lay in the same bed then Maddy hops in and snuggles right up to Roxy. It's was actually hard to find a picture for this contest of Maddy by herself Roxy is in most of them with her. The other half of the pictures she is laying on her back with her head upside down being her normal strange self.

She is the dog that always keeps us laughing at all of her little quirks, like her extremely vocal yawn that we wake up to every morning. She demands your attention and has no problem nudging your arm so that you pet her or she will just sit next to you countinuesly put her paw in your lap until you finally cave and hold her paw. We are so happy Maddy became part of her family and I couldn't imagine it any other way!
