Why there is "No Place Like Home"
Chipper and Archie are litter-mates. At 8 weeks old, they had survived Parvo, after receiving life-saving care from Oakland Animal Services.

I knew the moment I saw Chipper, that I would adopt him. At the time, I was recuperating from kidney transplant surgery and he from Parvo. A few days later, my hero - my kidney donor - fell in love with, and gave Archie his fur-ever home. Although we didn't know it at that time, we soon discovered that they were born on the SAME DAY as our kidney transplant surgery! How serendipitous is that?!

And now, 4 years later, although their homes are far apart, our bonds will always be strong. Home is where our hearts (and kidneys!) are, and would not be the same without these furry, little bundles of love to remind us that miracles really do happen!
