Pet's Story or Bio
Lucy is an American Bulldog and Boxer mix. We saw her picture on the Furry Friends website back in March and went to see her. She was so timid and fearful when we first met her she wouldn't let us anywhere near her. I would throw treats to her and get her a little closer but it took 5 visits of walking, talking and sitting with her at the ranch before we could even take her home. We were told that she had been abused as a puppy and when they found her in the "Redlands" she was playing with a ball in a puddle all by herself in some parking lot. We have her almost 6 months now and she is a very sweet girl and very attached to us. She wants to be wherever we are and we take her with us almost everywhere we go if possible. She goes on 2 good walks a day and we play ball with her in between. She lets us know when its time for these things without fail. She's a very happy dog now and getting more comfortable with people with every day that passes. We taught her to ring a bell hanging on our front door for bathroom breaks but now she rings it when she just wants to go outside to play. She loves her bed, bones and stuffed animals (without stuffing) but most of all she loves to run and chase her ball in the yard.
