Pet's Story or Bio
Finding a little rescue dog is mission impossible on the East coast. My wife - originally from Texas - went to the awesome Fuzzy Friends Rescue in Waco, TX while visiting family last February. Being a no-kill shelter, the staff at Fuzzy Friends had just returned from another shelter which had rescued 28 dogs from a hoarding situation.
Little Lily was very quiet at Fuzzy Friends but still showed her big personality, literally climbing atop her 7-foot kennel -she is 1 foot tall herself. We bonded right away with the little one and flew her back home with us to Boston, MA.
The same day that I traveled to pick up Lily, I was told that I would be working remotely for the foreseeable future due to Covid-19. At the same time, my wife's temporary work placement suddenly ended as the schools closed. This could not have worked out better for our first pet, as this little bundle of love surely enjoys the 24/7 company (as do we)!
I love walking and so does she... we stroll together along the nearby parks of the city, meeting new human and furry friends all the time. In spite of being in the city, those furry friends do include lots of (tasty?) squirrels, ducks, and bunnies (her favorite)... Thanks to her we have discovered new hidden places around our own neighborhood and met lots of kind neighbors.
