About Us

Gabe’s Gang Dog Rescue is a state of Michigan approved dba of Lily’s Love Foundation, a federally recognized 501c(3) nonprofit corporation established in 2010. Originally, we functioned as a pet food bank, providing pets of families in temporary economic crisis with free dog and cat food. We provided over 700,000 meals and we’re very proud of what we accomplished in our time as a food bank.

Recently, however, we gathered the gang together and decided to focus our efforts and resources in to dog rescue, specifically dachshunds and basset hounds. We have quickly been blessed to form amazing partnerships with other animal welfare groups, shelters, veterinary clinics and other organizations with the same mission — to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home waddlers and wiener dogs.

But our mission doesn’t end there.
We are also focused on educating the public on the prevention of animal abuse and other issues; helping to one day end the homeless animal epidemic through low-cost spay/neuter clinics, and provide free and low cost microchip clinics to ensure the safe return of lost pets to the families who love them.

It’s a tall mountain before us, but everyday the gang locks arms and we climb — one step at a time. We will get there.
