About

The Bully Ball is an annual fundraiser benefiting Georgia English Bulldog Rescue (GEBR) of Atlanta, GA supporting GEBR's quest to rescue abused, abandoned, sick and unwanted English and French Bulldogs. The Bully Ball is an exquisite evening with a seated dinner, open bar, Vegas-style casino and incredible live music. Live and silent auctions along with blackjack, craps, raffles and other casino games.

In the last 11 years, The Bully Ball has raised more than $1.25 million to help care for neglected English and French Bulldogs in the Southeast. The funds raised have not only helped to rescue more than 700 bulldogs, they also provide much needed education to the community about the breed, and support Georgia shelters with basic needs of the animals in their care such as blankets, donated food, dog houses and more.

Georgia English Bulldog Rescue's mission is to first ensure the safety and well-being of all Bulldogs that we take in and second to educate the public in the care of English and French Bulldogs. We rehabilitate and re-home Bulldogs that are sick, neglected, abused, or injured. Moreover, we provide a safe alternative to shelters for owners that are faced with the already difficult decision of finding a new home for their English or French bulldog.

We rely solely on donations for the care and treatment of the rescued Bulldogs that are admitted to our organization. Our vet bills are staggering. We also need volunteers, supplies, and support for the care and treatment of the rescued English Bulldogs we take into our organization. We rescue English and French Bulldogs regardless of medical condition and as foster homes become available. If you live in the Atlanta area and want to be a part of a great organization, please contact us. We are always in need of foster homes. If you have always wanted an ENGLISH or FRENCH BULLDOG but have no ENGLISH or FRENCH BULLDOG experience, fostering for GEBR would be the perfect initiation to the breed. We provide all vet care; you provide the food and TLC.

We do not have a kennel as our dogs are fostered in private homes. They are re-acclimated to family life and their temperament is assessed. After a brief foster period (minimum of 2 weeks) recommendations for placement are made based on information provided by our foster families. Foster families also give input throughout the adoption process.

BULLDOGS are extremely high maintenance creatures and require prior knowledge of their daily care and potential expenses of ownership. We strive to place our dogs in "Furever homes" that will meet those needs and have the means to provide medical care in the future. Our adopters must be completely prepared and aware of what BULLDOG ownership entails BEFORE both parties agree to an adoption. We adopt in Georgia and surrounding states.

Georgia English Bulldog Rescue, Inc., (GEBR) was incorporated in January 2009 as a non-stock, non-profit corporation with Federal Tax Exemption as a public charity under Section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

We started rescuing English Bulldogs, but recently have had an influx of French Bulldogs in the South needing our assistance. We are currently taking in 5-10 dogs per week during these challenging times. The need is great. Help us, help them.
