This is Sydney Penelope. I had just lost my Beagle after 14 years and was petless for the first time in over 20 years. People kept sending me links to dogs in need of forever homes and I would say, "A dog will find me..."
It was a Saturday morning after brunch, I wanted to check out the dog rescue set up on the corner...there were tons of dogs but none that caught my eye...until I was starting to walk away and I noticed a little dog hanging out away from the group. I asked if it was up for adoption and they said, "Yes, that's Daisy a 7mo JRT". I smiled when they brought her to me and the second I looked at her eyes I turned to my boyfriend and said "I want her". We named her after the city in which we met...over 2 years later and this dog makes me laugh and smile multiple times a day. She is our best friend, the love of our lives and makes our family complete. One day, I hope to adopt a a brother or sister for her to play with. Check out her Instagram @sydneypjrt
