About Us

Golden Gate Basset Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit 501 c (3) organization dedicated to saving the lives of as many basset hounds in our area (northern California and Reno, NV) as we can. We take in bassets that have been relinquished by owners, or surrendered to humane societies, shelters and other rescue organizations due to abandonment, neglect, health concerns or other varied reasons. Golden Gate Basset Rescue, Inc. will spay/neuter, vaccinate, heartworm test and provide whatever medical support that are urgently required before placement in a pre-approved, adoptive home.
