Victor was a young, registered Saddlebred who found himself in a very bad situation at Stanley Brothers. I saw his video and was immediately drawn to his kind eye, sweet way, and of course that mane! Although I had never direct bailed a horse, I kept feeling led to save this fellow. Erika walked me through the process, helping to arranged for his QT and shipping. From the night he stepped off the trailer, there has been no doubt he is home. He is a doll. He whinnies and comes to the fence every time he sees us. I can hear him calling to me inside the house for his bedtime carrots. He curls up his left leg to tell you he is ready for his food and while eating. He loves his ears scratched and he has little sense of personal space! He is progressing very well in training and gives lessons to our two girls. Plus, I think he might be the most beautiful horse I've ever seen! He is a wonderful addition to our family, and he came to us in perfect timing, just a month before we lost our sweet mare. It was a tremendous blessing to have another horse who needed love and who had plenty of love to give.
