Pet's Story or Bio
If I had only one word to describe my Momma dog, it would be "resilient." Momma, formerly called Antigua, found herself homeless at around 10 years of age. She was pregnant (for what looked like the hundredth time), sick, and malnourished...not to mention terrified! While none of her puppies made it, Momma did. After seeing her through being treated for heartworm disease (which left lasting damage on her heart and lungs) and a collapsing trachea, among other things, her foster mom decided to keep her. That foster mom is me. Momma's strength and resilience continue to amaze me every single day. Despite all of her struggles, she's learned to trust, to love, and to enjoy life once again. She even gets to be a "momma" to my three other furry babies and LOVES to help clean their ears, share her food, lick their faces, protect them from killer squirrels and mailmen, and OF COURSE...snuggle with them!
