Pet's Story or Bio
There will never be another dog like Dexter. Actually he was more human than dog. He cared about people, watched TV, tried to talk, and loved to swim. He could sense your mood and wanted to play when you were happy, or cuddle when you were sad. He was loyal and loving and enjoyed every day to the fullest. One year ago we received the devastating diagnosis that Dexter had mast cell cancer and three months to live. We didn't tell Dexter, so he just kept on living. The doctors told us that Dexter was the happiest dog on chemo they had ever seen! The chemo bought us some time, but on March 11, 2020, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Dexter. Our hearts still ache, yet this picture gives us comfort. You can look into his eyes and see the depth of his character and personality. We miss him so much.
