1. ELIGIBILITY
Bring your Big Dog Photo contest (the Contest) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
2. SPONSOR
The contest is sponsored by Giant Hearts, Giant Dog Rescue located in Suffolk, VA.
3. AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES
Participation in the Contest constitutes entrants full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
4. CONTEST PERIOD
The Submissions Period starts on October 30, 2017 at 8:00 AM Eastern Standard Time and ends on November 27, 2017 at 9:00 PM Eastern Standard Time and the Voting Period begins and ends at the same times. The Submission Period and the Voting Period combined constitute the Contest Period. Entries that are submitted before or after the Submission Period will be disqualified. Submissions will be accepted for the duration of the Contest using any of the following methods: Online submissions.
5. HOW TO ENTER
Online: This method of entry will be available by visiting our website (www.gogophotocontest.com/giantheartsgiantdogrescue) and following the directions provided to complete the entry information, and submit. Submissions are accepted during the Submission Period only. There is a $5 cost to enter your pet in the contest which also counts as your pet's first five votes. Only pictures of giant dogs may be submitted. Only one dog may be in each photo and no humans are to be included in the photo.
Be aware that the rescue story of the pet may carry as much weight as the photo.
The same pet can be entered into the contest multiple times, but votes will not be combined across multiple entries of the same pet. You can enter more than one pet in the contest. Any entrant with multiple pets in the image will be asked to provide an alternative image or be disqualified from the contest.
Giant Hearts, Giant Dog Rescue reserves the right to decide whether the photo included with entry is suitable for use in the calendar. Winners will be contacted after voting ends regarding the photos.
Photos submitted in the contest should meet the following requirements to be acceptable for printing.
200 dpi (300 dpi preferred).
Photos should be in focus and clear from obstruction.
All photos must be of a giant breed dog. (Great danes, all types of mastiffs, great pyraneese, st. Bernard, Newfoundland, Irish wolfhound, etc.)
6. VOTING
Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote. We encourage you to share your contest page link with family and friends through email and social media encouraging them to vote for your favorite contestant's photo.
All donations for votes are non-refundable and not tax deductible (there was a vote in exchange for the donation). Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Donations and photo entries for this online contest that are submitted via other means (snail mail, in-person or main website donation page) will be accepted as donations but not applied toward the contest. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
7. JUDGING
Judging for the calendar winners are strictly by the votes online. During the last week of entry, there will be a "judge's choice" around. This winner will be chosen by the board of directors within Giant Hearts, Giant Dog Rescue.
8. PRIZE AWARDING
The winners of the weekly new votes and the judge's choice will be notified at the end of each respective week by telephone or email by a rescue representative. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place from the next non-winning, eligible top vote-getter.
9. WINNER NOTIFICATION
The calendar winners will be posted after the closing of the contest. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner among remaining eligible entries. Prizes will be fulfilled within approximately 4-6 weeks after the conclusion of the contest.
